The Journey Interactive Exhibit (2023)

3D Aboriginal Artefact Design

This project was the final university brief I was given, along with a group of 5 other incredible UX/UI designers, software developers and 3D artists. We were tasked with curating a project that would connect students and staff on campus with the Aboriginal culture and heritage of the site that the current Torrens, Billy Blue Ultimo campus stands on.

With this in mind, we developed this mission statement:

“We aim to connect the Torrens University community with First Nations culture by immersing them in historical and contemporary parallels, taking them on a journey that resonates with their own lives to build interpersonal connections with the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.”

*The role I played in this group project was as a 3D artist (responsible for designing, modelling, texturing, and placing 3D objects in space) and a collaborative project team lead/member (responsible for time management, task delegation, research, referencing, and project execution/finishing). The team I worked with was amazing, and I couldn’t have produced such a high calibre project without each individual’s rigorous dedication and effort. I extend a warm and special thank you to each designer that contributed.
